Corporate Responsibility Report
In 2017, CNX had recently split off from its parent company CONSOL Energy when it published its first sustainability report in-house. This proved to be a turbulent process and the client felt the report was too focused on just simply reporting data based on GRI standards and didn’t tell a story of who CNX was or the importance of natural gas. For its second report, CNX engaged C&C to help streamline their process and create more of a narrative to help CNX stand out amongst its peers. We spearheaded research, discovery and benchmarking which led to the recommendation to continue with GRI standards but change the format to better reflect CNX’s identity. The client wanted to showcase a big differentiator, the X-Factor, which truly became the basis for the design. C&C also created the content outline and assisted with copywriting for the report.
