    Astoria Financial, a 30-year client and the nation’s fifth-largest publicly traded thrift, embraces the philosophy of “putting people first.” Their size, growth history and strong deposits set the story for this year's annual report. Active photos of people and community landmarks define the edge of each page. Bold graphs, an expansive map and factoids underscore the strength and stability of the community bank.

  • Denny's Corporation

    Denny’s, America’s largest full-service family restaurant chain, has been a client since 1999. This year, the company wanted to convey the continued growth of its brand and balance sheet strength in their 10-K wrap and HTML online reports. The theme “Growth is back on the menu,” reinforced by logo, brand and product imagery, was used to creatively communicate their strength and vision for the future.

Their 2007 annual report addresses the company’s success at sustaining their premium market position while controlling costs. Each of their business segments is discussed, using both creative photography and graphs showing revenue, profit and market data.

    Quest Diagnostics, a four-year client, is the world’s leader in diagnostic testing. For this year’s annual report, the company chose a powerful messaging strategy, incorporating a strong cover headline, color palette and photography treatment to convey the strength and health of their business, even in today’s tough economic environment.

    The 2008 Safeway annual report highlights the enormous achievements made in reinventing the grocery shopping experience. Bold colorful photography engages the reader, illustrating how shoppers appreciate the unique ambience and content of Safeway's highly successful Lifestyle stores. The layout helps define the company's strong industry position in and reinforces their pledge to continually enhance customer satisfaction.
